I worked with Sam whilst at Ealing Trailfinders. My season was disrupted with a shoulder injury. Unfortunately this required surgery. Sam was responsible for my return to training. He produced a tailored program. It suited my strengths and with clever programming we worked on my weaknesses. This got me into the best shape possible.
When I returned to training with the team it was a seamless transition, allowing for a swift return back into the playing side. Our training wasn’t just focused on making my injury better, we saw it as an opportunity to achieve a few separate goals, so as to keep the mind fresh and not get caught in the low lull that some injuries can bring.
Sam was great at motivating through a tough period, and allowing for flexibility in the program as we went along. When I returned to playing I was in a great place in terms of my overall strength and endurance, meaning I was able to hit the ground running and get back to playing as quickly as possible.
I would thoroughly recommend Sam as a coach to anyone. His personal and holistic approach to training is a true testament to the results his athletes get.
